INEOS employee volunteers and ICAN staff recently gathered at the La Porte ISD administration offices. ICAN Foundation Board member Dennis Seith also joined us. All were there to deliver an $8,750 check from the ICAN Foundation to the La Porte Education Foundation!  The donation will fund up to eight teaching grants. It will help to enhance learning for hundreds of children!

This marks ICAN’s third donation to La Porte’s Education Foundation. Since 2016, ICAN has donated a total of $26,250 to help LPISD teachers fund special projects. The projects supplement students’ understanding of science, technology, engineering and math.

Tanya Lopez, Steve Stamper and Abel Grosjean helped to present ICAN’s check. These INEOS employees are all repeat volunteers with the Foundation. Tanya helps with fundraising efforts. Steve and Abel volunteer each year for INEOS GO Run For Fun events. Click here to see what they had to say about volunteering.

Charlotte Pennye, Debbie Wade, Jake Williamson, and Charlcya Wheeler accepted the check. Charlotte is the Executive Director of the La Porte ISD Education Foundation. Debbie, Jake, and Charlcya are members of the Education Foundation Board of Directors.

La Porte Education Foundation President Jake Williamson thanked ICAN for its donation. He explained that donations like ours make a real impact on their students. He said that the projects they fund help kids to learn. But more than that, they open kids’ eyes to a new world of possibilities. Click here to listen to Jake talk about our impact in their district.

Thanks again to Tanya, Steve, Abel, Dennis and all the other volunteers and donors who support ICAN. You change kids’ lives!
