The INEOS ICAN Foundation believes that it has a responsibility to help develop our country’s best resource: its next generation.

The INEOS ICAN Foundation is a Texas 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation and volunteer organization that supports outreach efforts focusing on child health, education, and the development of our future workforce in Houston and the surrounding areas.  Our efforts are directed towards making a difference in the communities where we operate and live.

I want to thank each of you for coming out and getting our students active! They are still talking about their GO Run For Fun run and are asking if we can do it next year. Several even stopped me in the office to ask if they could join our after-school running club. I know hosting an event like this takes tons of work and time and Alvin Elementary appreciates everyone that participated in making this event a success. We look forward to doing this again next year!

The INEOS ICAN Foundation provides programs that support child health:

GO Run For Fun and The Daily Mile are programs provided free to schools to help kids get off the couch and develop healthy habits by showing them that physical activity can be fun. This is important because:

Almost 20% of Texas kids between the ages of 2 and 19 are classified as overweight.

Obesity has been associated with higher blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes and almost $70,000 in higher lifetime healthcare costs.

Exercise can help support weight control, improve focus, reduce stress and can improve self-esteem.

The INEOS ICAN Foundation provides donations to the education foundations of local school districts to help middle and high school teachers augment their teaching by providing funding for projects in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).

  • Almost 26 million US jobs, or about 20% of the workforce, requires some in-depth knowledge of at least one of the STEM subjects.
